The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dida Vieira to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dida Vieira in the 54th minute of play forced Gustavo's goalkeeper Benjamin Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diogo Tróia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luiz Quirino having to interfere. The Gustavo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Florestina SS's performance. The match ended with a win for Florestina SS.
