An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Vale in the 10th minute of play forced Barranquinho SC's goalkeeper César da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Jaime Vale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. César da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Tales Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tales Nogueira in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuca Ortiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute, Jaime Vale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. César da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Basílio Tande hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Jatuarama FC's Samuca Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tales Nogueira in the 34th minute of play. Tales Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute Jaime Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Silas Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barranquinho SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silas Guedes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuca Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tales Nogueira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 45th minute. Barranquinho SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Vale stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Samuca Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barranquinho SC's César da Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Barranquinho SC from getting a goal against them. Basílio Tande struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. César da Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jatuarama FC. Samuca Ortiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tales Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Jaime Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. César da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Barranquinho SC's Sérgio Miranda got a free kick in the 71st minute. After some careless play in the Jatuarama FC defense, Tales Nogueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuca Ortiz. The Jatuarama FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuca Ortiz should have stopped the shot. Tales Nogueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Samuca Ortiz having to make a save. Jatuarama FC's Samuca Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tales Nogueira in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th match minute, Jatuarama FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeca Tróia to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jatuarama FC's goalkeeper Samuca Ortiz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Basílio Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Silas Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Jatuarama FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jatuarama FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
