If David Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Guatuba's zone, Ediberto Pontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Moreira came out of the goal and Ediberto Pontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes into the game, David Gonçalves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Richard Moreira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Ediberto Pontes came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Turiassu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ediberto Pontes couldn't finish the play. If David Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ediberto Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 minutes, Enéas Torres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Turiassu and the Guatuba players grew even worse after the yellow card. Enéas Torres hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When Manuel Lopes fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guatuba's protests and gave Manuel Lopes a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 minutes, Fernão Trancoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Turiassu and the Guatuba players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Turiassu's Fernão Trancoso got a free kick in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Guatuba's Manuel Lopes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lúcio Koehler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Bernardo Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Koehler having to interfere. Manuel Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Koehler having to interfere. Turiassu's Lúcio Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Barros in the 46th minute of play. Ediberto Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manuel Lopes to strike the kick off in the second half. If Ediberto Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bernardo Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Lúcio Koehler made a huge save. In the 62nd minute, Vágner de Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Lúcio Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Koehler having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ediberto Pontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Moreira was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 71st minute David Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ediberto Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Lúcio Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the match, Turiassu's goalkeeper Lúcio Koehler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Barros. Guatuba's Manuel Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th of the match, Manuel Lopes tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Lúcio Koehler got in the way and made a wonderful save. The Guatuba players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Turiassu from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
