The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dudu das Neves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Alexandre Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Décio Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Alexandre Damião's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Leal was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Luís Gustavo Vale took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for José Leal. Alegria AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Damião in the 90th minute of play forced Alegria AD's goalkeeper José Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hélio Amorim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Leal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. After 96 played minutes Alegria AD got a freekick which was hit by Márcio Soeiro.
