The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Simão Moreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubens Rodrigues in the 4th minute. 5 minutes into the match, Passaje's goal looked a bit too open when Dedê Travassos came free, but Simão Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubens Rodrigues might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Simão Moreira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rubens Rodrigues ran back to his position shaking his head. Cauã Schmidt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silas Prestes went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Almir Cavalcante's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cauã Schmidt was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. If Almir Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th match minute, Passaje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manolo Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. Simão Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedê Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Passaje's Almir Cavalcante got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Almir Cavalcante made a kick off. Dedê Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Severino Nóbrega sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Camirim's Cauã Schmidt didn't even have to move. Edinho Hoffmann kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 59 minutes, Almir Cavalcante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Passaje and the Camirim players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Passaje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Almir Cavalcante to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute, Silas Prestes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 67 minutes, Manolo Ramalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Passaje and the Camirim players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 68 played minutes Passaje got a freekick which was hit by Manolo Ramalho. The long shot by Armando Amaral in the 70th minute really tested Cauã Schmidt's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 72 minutes into the game, Dedê Travassos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Simão Moreira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Camirim getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Zé Paulo Baptista hit a great ball. Manolo Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cauã Schmidt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silas Prestes in the 82nd minute. Manolo Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubens Rodrigues in the 86th minute of play forced Passaje's goalkeeper Simão Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camirim's Rubens Rodrigues got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silas Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Passaje were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
