Abel Mineiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gildo Sabóia's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Walmyr Corrêa kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, Severino Motta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coxipozinho FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guavira FC the free kick. The supporters of Guavira FC booed when Coxipozinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hílton Terra hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Guavira FC's Abel Mineiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gildo Sabóia in the 20th minute of play. Samuel Paraense charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Samuel Paraense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Coxipozinho FC booed when Guavira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Frederico Pinheiro could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Abel Mineiro however easily saved by the left post. Gildo Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Mineiro having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Frederico Pinheiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abel Mineiro was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. A hard shot 31 in the game by Frederico Pinheiro from a close distance when the talented Abel Mineiro managed to make a qualified save. Guavira FC's players were relieved. After 34 minutes of play, Guavira FC's Walmyr Corrêa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabriel Valadares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Walmyr Corrêa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zézinho Reis might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gabriel Valadares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zézinho Reis ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zézinho Reis was the one to do the kick off. Frederico Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Mineiro having to interfere. In the 56th minute Gildo Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frederico Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gildo Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guavira FC's Abel Mineiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gildo Sabóia in the 65th minute of play. Coxipozinho FC's Gabriel Valadares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Coxipozinho FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Coxipozinho FC's zone, Zézinho Reis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Valadares came out of the goal and Zézinho Reis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zézinho Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Valadares having to interfere. Gabriel Valadares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walmyr Corrêa in the 84th minute. Gildo Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Abel Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Pinheiro in the 87th minute of play forced Guavira FC's goalkeeper Abel Mineiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walmyr Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Coxipozinho FC's Gabriel Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho Reis in the 91st minute of play. Abel Mineiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gildo Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Guavira FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Guavira FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
