When Baltazar Castro fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Compasso's protests and gave Baltazar Castro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Compasso's Baltazar Castro got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 22 minutes into the match, Hortêncio Oliveira sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Breno Madureira threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Hortêncio Oliveira this time. Breno Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eurico do Nascimento in the 27th minute of the match. Guto Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulinho Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Sandro Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eurico do Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sabino Lopes made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Cabelo AD's Cícero Dante got a free kick in the 53rd minute. If Sabino Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Sabino Lopes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sandro Linares. That made the score 0-2 in the 61 minute of play. In the 66th play minute Paulinho Paulista came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sandro Linares. 0-3. Breno Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eurico do Nascimento in the 73rd minute of the match. When Paulinho Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Compasso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulinho Paulista couldn't finish the play. Sandro Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabino Lopes in the 78th minute of the match. Guto Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Madureira having to interfere. Sandro Linares made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Paulinho Paulista sent off a good shot on target. Paulinho Paulistas short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Sandro Linares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sandro Linares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulinho Paulista in the 89th minute. If Paulinho Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Compasso eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
