Breno Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Botelho in the 3rd minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Compasso's Cauã Hoffmann broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Baltazar Castro fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Compasso's protests and gave Baltazar Castro a yellow card for diving instead. Baltazar Castro hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Breno Madureira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gino Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Waldemar de Amaral hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Ulisses Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Camapoa's Orlando Sabóia tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Compasso's goalkeeper Breno Madureira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gino Azevedo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Camapoa's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a defensive mix-up in Compasso's zone, Germano Reis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Breno Madureira came out of the goal and Germano Reis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Paulinho Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Paulinho Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Compasso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulinho Paulista couldn't finish the play. Gino Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Madureira having to interfere. Sabino Lopes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulinho Bastos having to make a save. Paulinho Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinho Paulista in the 44th minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Pedro Luiz Botelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Camapoa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Compasso the free kick. In the 48th minute, Sabino Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gino Azevedo to make the kick off. Germano Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulinho Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabino Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gino Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Compasso getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Ulisses Bezerra hit a great ball. Germano Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Madureira having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Germano Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breno Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Waldemar de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulinho Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulinho Bastos having to interfere. Gino Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sabino Lopes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulinho Bastos having to make a save. If Sabino Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Compasso walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
