Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Francisco FC's Sandro Almeida started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luís Fernando Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo Machado having to interfere. Remo Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fernando Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Francisco FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Zé Augusto Catarinense hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Sandro Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Francisco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandro Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remo Machado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the game, Walmir Quirino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aiure SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Francisco FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Aiure SC's Walmir Quirino got a free kick in the 20th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandro Almeida in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remo Machado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 27 minutes of play Aiure SC's Walmir Quirino was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 28th minute, Walmir Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco FC's Miguel Cosme couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Aiure SC. After a defensive mix-up in Aiure SC's zone, Sandro Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remo Machado came out of the goal and Sandro Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Remo Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Almeida in the 36th minute of play. When Aiure SC's Téo Cavalcante, in the 41st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Aiure SC. After a rather tough play, Francisco FC's Hélio Jacinto got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 45 minutes in the game, Romário Rodrigues fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ernesto Toscano having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Luís Fernando Leite had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Remo Machado. Aiure SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Fernando Leite was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Téo Cavalcante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute, Luís Fernando Leite made a precise shot to the right of Remo Machado. Aiure SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Cavalcante in the 66th minute of play forced Francisco FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remo Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedito Britto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Téo Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Sandro Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 81st match minute, Aiure SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamílton Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. When Sandro Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Francisco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandro Almeida couldn't finish the play. Téo Cavalcante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 97 minutes, Hélio Jacinto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Francisco FC and the Aiure SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hélio Jacinto kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Francisco FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
