If Téo Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Téo Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulinho Teixeira having to interfere. In the 25th minute, one of Guapirama EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Guapirama EC. The goalkeeper, Paulinho Teixeira, was totally fooled by Apurima FC's César Trigo, who 27 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 31 minutes into the game, Tostão Nogueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Apurima FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guapirama EC the free kick. The supporters of Guapirama EC booed when Apurima FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tostão Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guapirama EC's Váldson do Valle got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Apurima FC booed when Guapirama EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fabiano Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulinho Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Brodel in the 42nd minute of the match. If Erasmo Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Apurima FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeu Travassos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulinho Teixeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Amadeu Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Guapirama EC's zone, Téo Brodel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulinho Teixeira came out of the goal and Téo Brodel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amadeu Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Apurima FC's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson do Valle came free, but Agnaldo Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tostão Nogueira was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Apurima FC's Tostão Nogueira got a free kick in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Váldson do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guapirama EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Váldson do Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
