In the 7th minute, Dorian Abraão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dênis Nóbrega was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ezequiel's Dênis Nóbrega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Breckenfeld in the 11th minute of play. Guararapes's Régis Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dorian Abraão struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Dênis Nóbrega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guararapes. Severino Barbosa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Vítor Xavier having to make a save. Dorian Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Régis Alcântara in the 28th minute of play forced Ezequiel's goalkeeper Dênis Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th match minute, Ezequiel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. Dênis Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Abraão, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. José Vítor Xavier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Bastos in the 31st minute of the match. If Dorian Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Régis Alcântara in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dênis Nóbrega saved Ezequiel from getting behind. In the 38thth minute of the game Dorian Abraão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ezequiel's Dênis Nóbrega was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorian Abraão in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dênis Nóbrega saved Ezequiel from getting behind. After the first half Guararapes were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Régis Alcântara hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. José Vítor Xavier came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ezequiel's Severino Barbosa. But to his dismay, Severino Barbosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Dênis Nóbrega came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Guararapes's Dorian Abraão. But to his dismay, Dorian Abraão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The supporters of Guararapes booed when Ezequiel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ediberto Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Guararapes's Fernão Gaspar tried to score from far away in the 67th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Dênis Nóbrega was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Régis Alcântara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Régis Alcântara really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Régis Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ezequiel's Dênis Nóbrega proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Ezequiel from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Ezequiel getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Nicolas Bastos hit a great ball. When Nicolas Bastos fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ezequiel's protests and gave Nicolas Bastos a yellow card for diving instead. Nicolas Bastos hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Ezequiel's Dênis Nóbrega got control of the ball when Dorian Abraão tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Régis Alcântara in the 93rd minute of play forced Ezequiel's goalkeeper Dênis Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dorian Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Guararapes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorian Abraão couldn't finish the play. Ezequiel's Dênis Nóbrega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Régis Alcântara in the 96th minute of play. Guararapes played a much better game than Ezequiel and deserved their victory. The Ezequiel players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
