Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Reginaldo Toledo took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 11th minute Amadeu Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dênis Rosa hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Butanta's Nuno Souza got control of the ball when Antônio Carlos Dante tried to sneak it across the goal line. Butanta's Nuno Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Butanta from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the match, Eriberto Araújo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Alexandrita's Carlos Alberto do Valle. Carlos Alberto do Valle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carlos Alberto do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reginaldo Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Reginaldo Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 38 minutes, Antônio Carlos Dante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alexandrita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antônio Carlos Dante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eriberto Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto do Valle having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeu Prata in the 45th minute of play forced Butanta's goalkeeper Nuno Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
Eriberto Araújo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Carlos Alberto do Valle when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Antônio Carlos Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Nuno Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Butanta's Nuno Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Carlos Dante in the 66th minute of play. Carlos Alberto do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reginaldo Toledo in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Frederico Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Butanta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alexandrita the free kick. After a rather tough play, Butanta's Frederico Toledo got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Antônio Carlos Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Souza having to interfere. Amadeu Prata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
