In the 20th match minute, Retiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júnior Tróia to maneuver through the defense. Elói de Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Giovanni Saraiva made a huge save. Retiro's Elói de Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Giovanni Saraiva successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Jacaqua SS's zone, Elói de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giovanni Saraiva came out of the goal and Elói de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Vítor Pontes during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 34 played minutes Jacaqua SS got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor Pontes. Elói de Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Retiro's Ian Bastos got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giovanni Saraiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vítor Saldanha in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Elói de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Retiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Elói de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giovanni Saraiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57th minute Teodoro Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodoro Schmidt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge de Queiroz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovanni Moura got free with Jorge de Queiroz in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71stth minute of the game Ian Bastos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jacaqua SS's Giovanni Saraiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Natã Marquez during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Natã Marquez hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Giovanni Saraiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ian Bastos went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. 85 minutes into the game, Retiro's Elói de Barros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giovanni Saraiva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Retiro's Elói de Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ian Bastos might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giovanni Saraiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ian Bastos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 90th match minute, Retiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yuri Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Retiro's zone, Joel Simão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge de Queiroz came out of the goal and Joel Simão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge de Queiroz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teodoro Schmidt's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Retiro fully deserved thier win.
