The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Vítor Pontes during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes Jacaqua SS got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor Pontes. Bernardinho Souto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute, Natã Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Natã Marquez hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Natã Marquez was shown his second yellow card after 33 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Bernardinho Souto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giovanni Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho Souto in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Américo de Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vicente Lopez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovanni Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 played minutes Picos got a freekick which was hit by Rômulo Peixoto. Geovanni Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Vítor Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Geovanni Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardinho Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Jacaqua SS's zone, Américo de Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giovanni Saraiva came out of the goal and Américo de Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Américo de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Giovanni Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Américo de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 84 played minutes Jacaqua SS got a freekick which was hit by João Leme. Giovanni Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Américo de Lara in the 86th minute of the match. Bernardinho Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Saraiva having to interfere. When Joel Simão fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jacaqua SS's protests and gave Joel Simão a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute, Joel Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Picos's Diego Sena got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
