An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Elias de Andrade got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Vinícius Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miriti's supporters rose to their feet, but Vinícius Guedes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério de Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vinícius Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério de Alcântara having to interfere. Elias de Andrade struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Fred Messias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A collision led to Embirizal getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Décio Sá hit a great ball. Fred Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Quintal in the 48th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when William Quintal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Embirizal's William Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fred Messias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Quintal in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Madureira in the 64th minute of play forced Embirizal's goalkeeper Rogério de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. William Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Fred Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vivaldo Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Embirizal's goalkeeper Rogério de Alcântara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rogério de Alcântara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vinícius Guedes in the 80th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Vivaldo Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miriti's supporters rose to their feet, but Vivaldo Madureira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério de Alcântara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Embirizal's zone, Vinícius Guedes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogério de Alcântara came out of the goal and Vinícius Guedes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
