Gerson Meira scored 1-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fred Messias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 77 minutes into the game, Eduardo Massa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chiniqua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Miriti the free kick. The audience held their breath when Ricardinho Passos in the 94th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Hermínio Quaresma's left hand side. Chiniqua's Hermínio Quaresma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinícius Guedes in the 96th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
