To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilson Coutinho made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Eliézer Madureira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Didi Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fabiano Velasco in the 60th minute of play. Wilson Coutinho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anselmo Sena came out and tried to block the shot, but Wilson Coutinho slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 64th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Oliveira's goal looked a bit too open when Wilson Coutinho came free, but Anselmo Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Wilson Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Furtado hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Eliézer Madureira put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Anselmo Sena. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliézer Madureira got free with Anselmo Sena in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
