An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliézer Madureira in the 16th minute of play forced Nascenca's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Paulo Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliézer Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Eliézer Madureira notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Nascenca's Zé Paulo Leal. Zé Paulo Leal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nascenca's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Leal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 30 minutes into the game, Eliézer Gonçalves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Didi Barral. Eliézer Gonçalves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. After 34 minutes, Cauan Palmeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The corner led Nascenca's Sabino Romero to fire away a dangerous shot which Didi Barral despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. But to his dismay, Cauan Palmeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Cauan Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Didi Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliézer Gonçalves in the 74th minute of the match. Nascenca were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Athenas SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sabino Romero took the corner. 81 minutes into the match, Eliézer Madureira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Paulo Leal. Nascenca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliézer Madureira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 89 minutes into the match, Nascenca's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Leal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliézer Madureira. When Cláudio Recife fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nascenca's protests and gave Cláudio Recife a yellow card for diving instead. Cláudio Recife kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 94th minute Cauan Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didi Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Leal having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Nascenca fans cheered their team off the field, for while Athenas SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
