Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Otávio Cosme took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Caetanopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Galvão came free, but Dadá Negri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute Otávio Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dadá Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th match minute, Caetanopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Valle to maneuver through the defense. Catinga's Otávio Cosme got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otávio Cosme in the 19th minute of play forced Caetanopolis's goalkeeper Dadá Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulisses Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armindo Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dário Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulisses Viana having to interfere. After 24 minutes, Basílio Alagoano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catinga and the Caetanopolis players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Catinga's Basílio Alagoano got a free kick in the 24th minute. After the first half Catinga were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dário Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ulisses Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Fábio Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Gil Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dadá Negri having to interfere. When Artur Galvão came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Catinga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artur Galvão couldn't finish the play. André Luiz Ribeiro's late challenge caught a Catinga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With a little luck, Caetanopolis's Dadá Negri got control of the ball when Artur Galvão tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Otávio Cosme in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dadá Negri saved Caetanopolis from getting behind. Artur Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
