The crowd rose to their feet as Ronaldo Cruz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving João Pedro Pitta. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. Oscar Vinhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvinho Bertassi in the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvinho Bertassi in the 20th minute of play forced Raiz's goalkeeper Oscar Vinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Telmo de Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvinho Bertassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Vinhas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Cruz in the 41st minute of play forced Solonopole's goalkeeper João Pedro Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldo Cruz was the one to do the kick off. Silvinho Bertassi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th minute of the game, Ismael Sabóia landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. In the 66th minute, Raiz's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Basílio Dracena fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Oscar Vinhas was a little too slow when Telmo de Azevedo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 2-1. If Reginaldo Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cássio Nogueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Oscar Vinhas made a huge save. Telmo de Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Oscar Vinhas made a huge save. The supporters of Solonopole booed when Raiz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitório Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raiz's Oscar Vinhas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Raiz from getting a goal against them. When Reginaldo Couto came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Raiz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reginaldo Couto couldn't finish the play. Raiz's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
