Cristiano Queiroz's late challenge caught a Guara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Queiroz helped the player get up and apologised. Lucas Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Donatello Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tostão Brasil charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tostão Brasil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Guara getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Tostão Brasil hit a great ball. Tibúrcio Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Costa in the 11th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Caracarahy AD's goal looked a bit too open when Tostão Brasil came free, but Maurício Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Costa struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Tibúrcio Dias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caracarahy AD. A collision led to Caracarahy AD getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Fernando Arruda hit a great ball. Donatello Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucas Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Tibúrcio Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donatello Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tibúrcio Dias having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Donato Campidelis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guara's supporters rose to their feet, but Donato Campidelis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurício Luz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tostão Brasil got his second yellow card in the match during the 55th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Guara's Tostão Brasil got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Donatello Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donatello Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Tibúrcio Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tibúrcio Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute Lucas Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tibúrcio Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jorge Gaúcho fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caracarahy AD's protests and gave Jorge Gaúcho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, Jorge Gaúcho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caracarahy AD's Maurício Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Arce in the 75th minute of play. Cristiano Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. When Rony Arce came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Guara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rony Arce couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Arce in the 86th minute of play forced Caracarahy AD's goalkeeper Maurício Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Donatello Urbano got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
