Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Eliseu Cearense successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Róbson Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Tibúrcio Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseu Cearense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Arce in the 22nd minute of the match. Tibúrcio Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo de Sena in the 25th minute of play. Guara's supporters rose to their feet, but Rony Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliseu Cearense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Arce in the 53rd minute of play forced Caxingo's goalkeeper Eliseu Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rony Arce took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eliseu Cearense. Eliseu Cearense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 62nd minute, Giovani Nogueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adolfo de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 played minutes Guara got a freekick which was hit by Frédson Loyola. After 71 played minutes Guara got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Brasil. Adolfo de Sena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tibúrcio Dias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Caxingo's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Campidelis came free, but Eliseu Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Guara booed when Caxingo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovani Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donato Moura's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Eliseu Cearense - 2-0 was put on the score board in the 81st minute. Tibúrcio Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo de Sena in the 88th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Adolfo de Sena made a precise shot to the right of Tibúrcio Dias. Guara's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Eliseu Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rony Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caxingo's goalkeeper Eliseu Cearense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Caxingo's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Guara had won, even though Caxingo had held more of the ball.
