The supporters of Muricizal AD booed when Bandeirantes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Anselmo Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Muricizal AD's zone, Roberto Monteiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Quaresma came out of the goal and Roberto Monteiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antônio Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Quaresma having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Monteiro couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Durvalino Maia in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafinha Prata saved Bandeirantes FC from getting behind. Roberto Quaresma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Hermes, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Muricizal AD's Roberto Quaresma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Hermes in the 84th minute of play. Antônio Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Quaresma having to interfere.
