Róbson Vianna was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cícero da Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Mattos in the 16th minute of the match. Mocha's Oscar Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Gabriel Mattos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cícero da Mata was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Cícero da Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Cícero da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Serginho de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sertanejo SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Serginho de Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Róbson Vianna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes into the game, Serginho de Andrade recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Róbson Vianna. Serginho de Andrade showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Serginho de Andrade kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Róbson Vianna. That made the score 3-1 in the 29 minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Sertanejo SS's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Nunes came free, but Cícero da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Mattos scored 3-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cícero da Mata, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute Oscar Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cícero da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Zé Pedro Cunha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sertanejo SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mocha the free kick. Zé Pedro Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Wágner Moreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 49 minutes into the match, Sertanejo SS's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Mattos came free, but Cícero da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabriel Mattos made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Mattos in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cícero da Mata saved Sertanejo SS from getting behind. In the 54th minute, Oscar Nunes made a precise shot to the right of Cícero da Mata. Sertanejo SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. A collision led to Sertanejo SS getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Ronaldinho Santos hit a great ball. Mocha's Oscar Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cícero da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Mattos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Nunes got free with Cícero da Mata in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benê Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Oscar Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Gabriel Mattos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cícero da Mata having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Nunes got free with Cícero da Mata in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gabriel Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero da Mata having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
