Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Chicão Botelho started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho Tande in the 3rd minute of play forced Trigolandia EC's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serginho de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Augusto Peres having to interfere. A collision led to Sertanejo SS getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ronaldinho Santos hit a great ball. Sertanejo SS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rômulo Fontes 6 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Ronaldinho Santos's late challenge caught a Trigolandia EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronaldinho Santos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sertanejo SS getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ronaldinho Santos hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Trigolandia EC's Chicão Botelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cícero da Mata narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Betinho Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Sertanejo SS's Magno Mineiro tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Rômulo Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rômulo Fontes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Cícero da Mata when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 36 minutes into the match, Wágner Moreira notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Trigolandia EC's Pedro Augusto Peres. Pedro Augusto Peres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 41 played minutes Sertanejo SS got a freekick which was hit by Duda Baptista. In the 44th minute Trigolandia EC were awarded a corner. Felippe Schmidt went to the cornerflag to take it. Trigolandia EC's Felippe Schmidt was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cícero da Mata in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Chicão Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero da Mata having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Serginho de Andrade made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Sertanejo SS's Ronaldinho Santos got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Rômulo Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serginho de Andrade in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Augusto Peres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Décio Teixeira hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Felippe Schmidt was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Cícero da Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rômulo Fontes in the 70th minute of the match. After having played for 71 minutes, Serginho de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sertanejo SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serginho de Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Trigolandia EC's Betinho Pernambucano got a free kick in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serginho de Andrade in the 79th minute of play forced Trigolandia EC's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 81 played minutes Trigolandia EC got a freekick which was hit by Umberto Peres. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serginho de Andrade in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Augusto Peres saved Trigolandia EC from getting behind. Chicão Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Cícero da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
