The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucas Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Almir Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aílton Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aílton Viana in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Almir Gonçalves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Almir Gonçalves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucas Quintal went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 25 minutes into the match, Clementino's goal looked a bit too open when Custódio Lira came free, but Frank Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Tande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manolo Salgado in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Loreto SS's Walmir Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frank Tande narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 31 minutes, Aílton Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clementino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aílton Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 35th minute, Lucas Quintal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frank Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Custódio Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. When Murillo Proença came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Clementino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murillo Proença couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Aílton Viana made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Aílton Viana put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Almir Gonçalves. Thanks to some nice moves Custódio Lira could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Frank Tande however easily saved by the left post. Frank Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Walmir Amaral was extremely unlucky when he, in the 92nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 96 minutes, Manolo Salgado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Loreto SS and the Clementino players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manolo Salgado hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
