When Waldemar Teles, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 18 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Paulo José Fonseca was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Edgard Ferraz hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Thomás Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Lumiar defense, José Vítor de Queiroz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo José Fonseca. The Lumiar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo José Fonseca should have stopped the shot. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
