If José Vítor de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Escrivao EC booed when Guaraciaba AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roger da Mata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Vítor de Queiroz's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, Escrivao EC's Silvinho Reis got a free kick in the 22nd minute. When José Vítor de Queiroz, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 25 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Roger da Mata was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Cipriano Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Leonel Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Cipriano Quintal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leonel Cordeiro. The goal made the score 1-0. Silvinho Reis hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute André de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Cipriano Quintal made the kick off in the second half. Roger da Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Vítor de Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Escrivao EC's Roger da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor de Queiroz in the 59th minute of play. Leonel Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Peres in the 62nd minute of the match. If Waldemar Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guaraciaba AD's Leonel Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Quintal in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Quintal in the 75th minute of play forced Guaraciaba AD's goalkeeper Leonel Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 76 played minutes Guaraciaba AD got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Araújo. When José Vítor de Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Guaraciaba AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Vítor de Queiroz couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Guaraciaba AD getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Edgard Ferraz hit a great ball. Guaraciaba AD's Leonel Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Quintal in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Guaraciaba AD's José Vítor de Queiroz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 94th minute, Waldemar Teles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teodoro Peres took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonel Cordeiro. Leonel Cordeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Guaraciaba AD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Escrivao EC.
