Cambaras FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Aílton Lucas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubinho Lucas in the 4th minute of the match. Ronaldão Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aílton Lucas having to interfere. In the 12th minute Ademir Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juninho Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorival Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 22ndth minute of the game Rubinho Lucas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tubibau AD's Aílton Lucas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Tubibau AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evandro Brasil to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Durvalino Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Cambaras FC's Roberto Ferraz tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ademir Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorival Damião in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juninho Freire prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46th minute, Dorival Damião got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 47 minutes, Ademir Leão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tubibau AD and the Cambaras FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dorival Damião was the one to do the kick off. Ademir Leão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Damião in the 63rd minute of play forced Cambaras FC's goalkeeper Juninho Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gernando Vasconcelos during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Rubinho Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorival Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Juninho Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
