If Ronaldão Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juninho Freire made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Luiz Meirelles sent off a good shot on target. Gugu Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Freire having to interfere. In the 14th minute Ronaldão Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizinho da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luizinho da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldão Penha in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Ronaldão Penha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Luizinho da Silveira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ronaldão Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Luizinho da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ratos EC's Luizinho da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubinho Lucas in the 22nd minute of play. When Cléber de Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cambaras FC's protests and gave Cléber de Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. Cléber de Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. With his leg Juninho Freire managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Ratos EC's Luiz Meirelles fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Manolo Trigo hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Luizinho da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldão Penha in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Ronaldão Penha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luizinho da Silveira. Ratos EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronaldão Penha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Luiz Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th match minute, Ratos EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yan Diniz to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Ratos EC's Luizinho da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubinho Lucas in the 56th minute of play. Ronaldão Penha's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luizinho da Silveira firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Cambaras FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Rubinho Lucas hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Cambaras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu Macedo came free, but Juninho Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubinho Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 65 minutes, Ronaldão Penha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cambaras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldão Penha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gugu Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juninho Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gugu Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Gugu Macedo struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Juninho Freire didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ratos EC. The supporters of Ratos EC booed when Cambaras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléber de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ratos EC were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Cambaras FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Andrézinho Hermes took the corner. A very nice done corner allowed Samuca Neto to score against Juninho Freire in Cambaras FC's goal. 1-2 after 79 minutes. A collision led to Ratos EC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Gugu Macedo hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Cambaras FC's Rubinho Lucas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luizinho da Silveira. Luizinho da Silveira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ratos EC's goalkeeper Luizinho da Silveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Luiz Meirelles came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Ratos EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Meirelles couldn't finish the play. Ronaldão Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Luizinho da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
