Pedrão Lopez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Rafinha Amorim made a huge save. A collision led to Bacuriti SC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Sandro Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio de Queiroz having to interfere. Bacuriti SC's Rafinha Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Bacuriti SC from getting a goal against them. With his leg Rafinha Amorim managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Capellinha FC's Pedrão Lopez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hílton Pontes to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Sandro Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bacuriti SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandro Lago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dráuzio de Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The tension between the Bacuriti SC and the Capellinha FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Olívio Zilles charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
