Relogio FC's Carlos Alberto Leme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Relogio FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Relogio FC's zone, João Carlos Freitas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Alberto Leme came out of the goal and João Carlos Freitas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Sitio booed when Relogio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdir Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdo Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei Paes in the 15th minute of play. Relogio FC's Carlos Alberto Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Carlos Freitas in the 18th minute of play. Relogio FC's Valdir Saldanha got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valdo Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renatinho Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Carlos Freitas in the 34th minute of play forced Relogio FC's goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that João Carlos Freitas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Alberto Leme was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. If João Carlos Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Alberto Leme made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Arí Brito sent off a good shot on target. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dinei Paes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Valdo Teles stood somewhat misplaced when Dinei Paes came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 56 minute. After 59 played minutes Sitio got a freekick which was hit by Walmir Linhares. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdir Saldanha got free with Valdo Teles in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Alberto Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arí Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arí Brito struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Carlos Alberto Leme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sitio. Valdir Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdo Teles having to interfere. Valdo Teles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dinei Paes's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 83rdth minute of the game Dinei Paes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sitio's Valdo Teles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Relogio FC's zone, Arí Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Alberto Leme came out of the goal and Arí Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Arí Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sitio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arí Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Alberto Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Carlos Freitas in the 90th minute of play. If Valdir Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdir Saldanhas short, quick shot in the 98thth minute got Valdo Teles to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the final whistle sounded Relogio FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sitio.
