A collision led to Grimpas getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Dionísio Silva hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Marcos Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastião Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Linares in the 49th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adhemar Linares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sebastião Cabral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adhemar Linares's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. José Pedro Fontes hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After having played for 57 minutes, André da Mata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apinaje's supporters crossed their fingers, but André da Mata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastião Cabral didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Apinaje's André da Mata shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. If Júlio Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastião Cabral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 89 played minutes Apinaje got a freekick which was hit by Adhemar Linares. If Lúcio Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernani Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. André da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Apinaje had played much better football throughout.
