The supporters of Piraputanga booed when Iata SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nelson Almeida was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Didi Machado. Piraputanga's Nelson Almeida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Piraputanga from getting a goal against them. After 74 played minutes Iata SS got a freekick which was hit by Fellipe Meirelles. 75 minutes into the match, Tibúrcio Torres notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Iata SS's Miguel Massa. Miguel Massa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 80 minutes into the match, Iata SS's goal looked a bit too open when Tibúrcio Torres came free, but Miguel Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Luís Fábio Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adhemar Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tibúrcio Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Massa having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Piraputanga fully deserved thier win.
