Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Deivid Ferreira got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Cortada EC booed when Matutina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armindo do Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matutina's Carlos Augusto Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardinho Quirino in the 4th minute of play. Nilton Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Augusto Chaves having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Matutina's Vito Quirino got a free kick in the 6th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roberto do Vale during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cortada EC! In the 15th minute, Frank Carvalho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matutina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Frank Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Matutina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Carvalho couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Cortada EC's zone, Frank Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juninho Marquez came out of the goal and Frank Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the game, Deivid Ferreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Juninho Marquez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nilton Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Carlos Augusto Chaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Souza during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Frank Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Marquez having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Cortada EC's Bernardinho Quirino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlos Augusto Chaves. That made the score 1-4 after 43 minutes of play. Nilton Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Augusto Chaves having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

Carlos Augusto Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho Quirino in the 53rd minute of the match. Armindo do Nascimento hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardinho Quirino in the 55th minute of play forced Matutina's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vito Quirino kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the game, Bernardinho Quirino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Carlos Augusto Chaves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A hard shot 69 in the game by Frank Carvalho from a close distance when the talented Juninho Marquez managed to make a qualified save. Cortada EC's players were relieved. Juninho Marquez didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Matutina's Frank Carvalho shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-5 in the ordered_time% minute. Deivid Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After 92 minutes of play, Cortada EC's Bernardinho Quirino made it 3-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Augusto Chaves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Matutina's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
