The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Délio Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Anderson Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Encano's Délio Viana got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Encano's goalkeeper Elder Esteves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. China FC's Anderson Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Britto in the 19th minute of play. Claudinei Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Cristian Britto notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of China FC's Anderson Sá. Anderson Sá was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio Viana in the 33rd minute of play forced China FC's goalkeeper Anderson Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anderson Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Délio Viana in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Belmiro Soares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. China FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Encano the free kick. In the 40th match minute, China FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belmiro Soares to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the game, China FC's Rafinha Ceresso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elder Esteves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Claudinei Neves made the kick off in the second half. Rafinha Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Anderson Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Délio Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute Délio Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anderson Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of China FC booed when Encano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the game, China FC's Claudinei Neves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anderson Sá made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Cristian Britto sent off a good shot on target. After 90 played minutes China FC got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro Soares. In the 94th minute, Délio Viana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anderson Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Délio Viana in the 95th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Britto got free with Anderson Sá in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The China FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Encano had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
