Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ivo Hoffmann took the kick off in the first half of the match. Reinaldo de Senna, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The supporters of Querida EC booed when Colectoria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ivo Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Colectoria's Enio Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Hoffmann in the 12th minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Querida EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Hoffmann in the 20th minute of play forced Colectoria's goalkeeper Enio Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrício Trancoso's late challenge caught a Colectoria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabrício Trancoso helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Querida EC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Fabrício Trancoso hit a great ball. Reinaldo de Senna took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luiz Eduardo Melo. Querida EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Querida EC's zone, Erivaldo Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Eduardo Melo came out of the goal and Erivaldo Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Décio Guedes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 36th playminute. José Paulo de Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enio Peixoto having to interfere. José Paulo de Barros took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enio Peixoto. Enio Peixoto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erivaldo Santos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Erivaldo Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adalberto Branco charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adalberto Branco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. José Paulo de Barros came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Enio Peixoto could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Paulo de Barros got free with Enio Peixoto in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luiz Eduardo Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Décio Guedes in the 77th minute of the match. José Paulo de Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enio Peixoto having to interfere. With a little luck, Colectoria's Enio Peixoto got control of the ball when José Paulo de Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line.
