Cachimbo's Cláudio Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe das Neves in the 4th minute of play. If Valdo Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ibipeba SS getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Armando Leme hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdo Paraíba in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sandro da Silva saved Ibipeba SS from getting behind. Ibipeba SS's Túlio Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Ibipeba SS booed when Cachimbo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Custódio das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cláudio Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe das Neves in the 29th minute of play. Cachimbo's Cláudio Leme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Cachimbo from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Ibipeba SS's Cláudio Leme threw himself towards the right post 50 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Felipe das Neves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacinto de Mendonça to strike the kick off in the second half. Ibipeba SS's Sandro da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto de Mendonça in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ibipeba SS's Pedro de Andrade got a free kick in the 59th minute. Ibipeba SS's Túlio Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 69 minutes into the match, Cachimbo's goal looked a bit too open when Enéas Cearense came free, but Cláudio Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Túlio Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Leme having to interfere. In the 76th minute Felipe das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ibipeba SS's Sandro da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto de Mendonça in the 81st minute of play. In the 85th minute, Ibipeba SS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Valdo Paraíba fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Cachimbo's zone, Túlio Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cláudio Leme came out of the goal and Túlio Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Sandro da Silva managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Cachimbo's Valdo Paraíba fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ibipeba SS's Sandro da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto de Mendonça in the 95th minute of play. Valdo Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandro da Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto de Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
