Moisés Meira took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anísio Damião. Anísio Damião dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donato Mandrak was the one to do the kick off. Nilton Castro hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moisés Meira got free with Anísio Damião in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Donato Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jardel Ferraz hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Moisés Meira notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Pirarucu's Anísio Damião. Anísio Damião was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carlos Augusto Faria was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Dário Leão might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leopoldo Lopes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
