Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Carananduba's Christian Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Cardoso in the 5th minute of play. After 10 minutes, Alex Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capunga and the Carananduba players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th minute, Alex Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 11 played minutes, Carananduba's Vivaldo Ortiz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilvan Ramalho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carananduba reached it. Christian Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Corrêa in the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Douglas Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Capunga's Amadeu Corrêa got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hamílton Trigo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, Capunga's Douglas Cardoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christian Tavares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Capunga's Alex Mendonça got a free kick in the 27th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Gilvan Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Tróia, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Vivaldo Breckenfeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedrinho Tróia's late challenge caught a Capunga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedrinho Tróia helped the player get up and apologised. Pedrinho Tróia hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Pedrinho Tróia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Gilvan Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeu Corrêa couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vivaldo Breckenfeld in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilvan Ramalho saved Capunga from getting behind. Capunga's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
