Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nelson Palmeira got the match started through his kick off. Carlos Fernando de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Augusto Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cícero Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ramiro Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Alessandro Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murilo Vander charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Murilo Vander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zé Augusto Nascimento's late challenge caught a Ubari AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Augusto Nascimento helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ubari AD booed when Joarizinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Augusto Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Nelson Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ubari AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelson Palmeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramiro Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. When Zé Augusto Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Joarizinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Augusto Nascimento couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Ubari AD's zone, Adalberto Marinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Fernando de Lara came out of the goal and Adalberto Marinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adalberto Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernando de Lara having to interfere. After 35 played minutes Ubari AD got a freekick which was hit by Murilo Vander. If Adalberto Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adalberto Marinho took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Fernando de Lara. Carlos Fernando de Lara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Tostão Queiroz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ramiro Mangueira. Joarizinho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Palmeira in the 48th minute of play forced Joarizinho's goalkeeper Ramiro Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Adalberto Marinho made the kick off in the second half. Carlos Fernando de Lara made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Zé Augusto Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. Alessandro Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. When Zé Augusto Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Joarizinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Augusto Nascimento couldn't finish the play. After 65 played minutes Joarizinho got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Silva. Rubinho Moreno was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 66th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ubari AD's Alessandro Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Fernando de Lara was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Adalberto Marinho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adalberto Marinho really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. 77 minutes into the match, Cícero Dias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ramiro Mangueira. Joarizinho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cícero Dias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Ubari AD's Nelson Palmeira got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 84 minutes, Romário Barbosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ubari AD and the Joarizinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nelson Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilson Silva hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After 96 played minutes Ubari AD got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Queiroz. The long shot by Leandro Mesquita in the 97th minute really tested Carlos Fernando de Lara's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Joarizinho had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
