Luisinho Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmo Vale in the 23rd minute of the match. Meoas's Dalmo Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dalmo Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisinho Carioca having to interfere. After 35 minutes, Dalmo Vale made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Sidrolandia's Luisinho Carioca tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Claudinei da Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sidrolandia's protests and gave Claudinei da Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. Luisinho Carioca came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Meoas's Dalmo Vale. But to his dismay, Dalmo Vale quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The supporters of Sidrolandia booed when Meoas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredinho Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Agenor Goiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luisinho Carioca. Sidrolandia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agenor Goiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 66th minute, Dalmo Vale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luisinho Carioca was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zacarias Silveira got free with Duarte de Lara in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Meoas walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
