In the 3rd minute, Breno Passos made a precise shot to the right of Alfredão Baptista. Paranai SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Almir Salgado tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Dráusio da Rocha. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-1 in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breno Passos in the 15th minute of play forced Paranai SS's goalkeeper Alfredão Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Breno Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Breno Passos during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 31st match minute, Umburetama EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breno Passos to maneuver through the defense. Dráusio da Rocha came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Paranai SS's Claudinho Fantini. But to his dismay, Claudinho Fantini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Maurício Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Alfredão Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agenor Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

A collision led to Paranai SS getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Otávio Vale hit a great ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Guga Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Umburetama EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guga Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Paranai SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otávio Vale to maneuver through the defense. When Breno Passos, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 75 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Alfredão Baptista was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Paranai SS's zone, Guga Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredão Baptista came out of the goal and Guga Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dráusio da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Umburetama EC's goalkeeper Dráusio da Rocha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Breno Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Paranai SS were victorious despite being under pressure from Umburetama EC for much of the match.
