In the 15th minute, Cássio Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cafu Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmir Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Walmir Rosado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cafu Dias was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Cafu Dias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Walmir Rosado went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Cássio Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frechal EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cássio Dantas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cafu Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cássio Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Dias having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Abertao SS's Luís Paulo Branco got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 38th match minute, Abertao SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilton Lira to maneuver through the defense. If Walmir Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Walmir Rosado in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cafu Dias saved Abertao SS from getting behind. Yan Mendes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcinho Carneiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Lucas Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Cássio Dantas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Frechal EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Cafu Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Palmeira during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Abertao SS's Lucas Palmeira got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The supporters of Frechal EC booed when Abertao SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yan Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Paulo Branco charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Paulo Branco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cássio Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Cafu Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yan Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cássio Dantas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cafu Dias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Frechal EC's zone, Yan Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcinho Carneiro came out of the goal and Yan Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucas Palmeira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcinho Carneiro having to make a save. The Abertao SS supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Frechal EC's performance. The match ended with a win for Frechal EC.
