If Carlos Augusto Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Raphael França managed to get in a good position for a shot. Claretiana's supporters rose to their feet, but Raphael França was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Pedro Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute Armindo Zilles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Pedro Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Humberto Sampaio fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coroveira EC's protests and gave Humberto Sampaio a yellow card for diving instead. Raphael França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simão Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 20th match minute, Claretiana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauan Queirós to maneuver through the defense. When Claretiana's Armindo Zilles in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Armindo Zilles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Pedro Abreu having to interfere. Raphael França could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Zé Pedro Abreu made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Augusto Branco in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simão Mazza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Simão Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When Raphael França came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Claretiana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raphael França couldn't finish the play. In the 50th minute, Claretiana's Armindo Zilles dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valério Mandrak to make the kick off. In the 57th match minute, Coroveira EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Leão to maneuver through the defense. Valério Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the game, Claretiana's Armindo Zilles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zé Pedro Abreu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Armindo Zilles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Pedro Abreu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Armindo Zilles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Zé Pedro Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claretiana's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Carlos Augusto Branco scored to the left of an out of position Simão Mazza, making the score, 2-1. Armindo Zilles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Carlos Augusto Branco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simão Mazza was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Claretiana's Simão Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério Mandrak in the 97th minute of play. If Armindo Zilles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 101 minutes into the game, Claretiana's Armindo Zilles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zé Pedro Abreu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Claretiana fans cheered their team off the field, for while Coroveira EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
