One of Reducao:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Caritianas:s goal. The goalkeeper, Álvaro Paraibano, was totally fooled by Caritianas's Gugu Mangueira, who 5 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Renatinho Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Álvaro Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renatinho Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Álvaro Paraibano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Renatinho Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. Ulysses Ortiz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Álvaro Paraibano having to make a save. Douglas Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo José Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Caritianas's Leopoldo Soeiro got a free kick in the 16th minute. When Nico Queiroz fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caritianas's protests and gave Nico Queiroz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th minute, one of Caritianas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caritianas. The referee gave Reducao a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Natanael Reis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Caritianas's Douglas Leão. 1-1. Afonsinho Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Olavo Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 played minutes Afonsinho Diniz rounded Caritianas's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Paulo José Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Caritianas's goalkeeper Douglas Leão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo José Queiroz.
