Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Thomás Mandrak started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Safiro got a freekick which was hit by Ademir Prata. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cícero Viana in the 5th minute of play forced Cadete's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Thomás Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomás Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edson Baiano kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 13thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Safiro's keeper Aílton Araújo was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Cícero Viana struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Zé Paulo Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Safiro. Safiro's Cícero Viana got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cícero Viana in the 18th minute of play forced Cadete's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Thomás Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Safiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomás Mandrak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Paulo Varela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cícero Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Varela having to interfere. Zé Paulo Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomás Mandrak in the 32nd minute of the match. When Tomás Hames came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Cadete fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Hames couldn't finish the play. Mazinho Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Zé Paulo Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomás Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Cadete's Tibúrcio Gaspar got a free kick in the 39th minute. Zé Paulo Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cícero Viana in the 42nd minute of the match. Durvalino Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Edinho Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47thth minute of the game Thomás Mandrak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cadete's Zé Paulo Varela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
After a rather tough play, Cadete's Gustavo Castro got a free kick in the 55th minute. Cícero Vianas short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Zé Paulo Varela to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Hames during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tomás Hames kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match Hélio Lira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zé Paulo Varela showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cícero Viana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Zé Paulo Varela made a huge save. A collision led to Safiro getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Hélio Lira hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cesinha Vander during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Safiro's Aílton Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Baiano in the 75th minute of play. Cícero Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Varela having to interfere. Edson Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tomás Hames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cadete's zone, Cícero Viana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Paulo Varela came out of the goal and Cícero Viana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
