Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Thomás Mandrak made the kick off which started today's match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdemar da Fonseca during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 2 played minutes Pentagna got a freekick which was hit by Valdemar da Fonseca. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cícero Lago in the 4th minute of play forced Safiro's goalkeeper Aílton Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Pentagna getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Rubens Ramos hit a great ball. Franklin Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomás Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After 10 played minutes Pentagna got a freekick which was hit by Rubens Ramos. After a rather tough play, Safiro's Kiko Koehler got a free kick in the 14th minute. Pentagna's Zé Damião couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Safiro. After a defensive mix-up in Safiro's zone, Jano Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aílton Araújo came out of the goal and Jano Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hélio Lira kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Pentagna were furious when Rubens Ramos was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 25th minute, one of Pentagna:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pentagna. When Thomás Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Safiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomás Mandrak couldn't finish the play. Aílton Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cícero Lago in the 34th minute of the match. Franklin Alcântara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cícero Viana in the 35th minute. Pentagna's Franklin Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomás Mandrak in the 39th minute of play. Thomás Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Franklin Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cícero Lago stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Ademir Prata was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Safiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pentagna the free kick. After 58 minutes, Hélio Lira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Safiro and the Pentagna players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Safiro getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Hélio Lira hit a great ball. If Cícero Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Cícero Viana came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Safiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cícero Viana couldn't finish the play. Thomás Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Alcântara having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Cícero Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pentagna's supporters rose to their feet, but Cícero Lago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aílton Araújo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pentagna's Valdemar da Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 81 minutes of play, Safiro's Thomás Mandrak made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franklin Alcântara was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Safiro had won after a very even match.
