The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Natanael Tavares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Paulo Quadros's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. 4 minutes into the match, Timbu SS's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Valadares came free, but Natanael Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fausto Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Rodrigo Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Natanael Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiago Gabriel Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiago Gabriel Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celsinho França having to interfere. Tiago Gabriel Ferrazs short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Celsinho França to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Cauan Luz fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canaguape AD's protests and gave Cauan Luz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute, Cauan Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sebastião Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Timbu SS booed when Canaguape AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvério Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Timbu SS fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Timbu SS's Tiago Gabriel Ferraz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 31 minutes into the game, Timbu SS's Tiago Gabriel Ferraz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celsinho França made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Natanael Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Paulo Quadros in the 39th minute of the match. With his leg Celsinho França managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Timbu SS's Tiago Gabriel Ferraz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pedro Paulo Quadros took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Natanael Tavares. Natanael Tavares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastião Rezende made a kick off. Rodrigo Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd play minute Pedro Paulo Quadros came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Natanael Tavares. 2-2. Marcus Faustino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celsinho França having to interfere. Tiago Gabriel Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celsinho França having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Pedro Luiz Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Gabriel Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute.
