Oséas Costa hit a great ball. Tomasio's Severino Eger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Tomasio from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Tomasio's zone, Rodrigo Valadares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Eger came out of the goal and Rodrigo Valadares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute Baltazar Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celsinho França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celsinho França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Rezende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdo de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celsinho França having to interfere.

If Valdo de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 54 played minutes Canaguape AD got a freekick which was hit by Silvério Rosa. Rodrigo Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd match minute, Tomasio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederico de Amorim to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Baltazar Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celsinho França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomás Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Brasil hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Rodrigo Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celsinho França made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdo de Sena in the 82nd minute. Severino Eger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Valadares's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Pedro Paulo Quadros took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Severino Eger. Severino Eger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Canaguape AD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
